Dr Hadi Manji, Consultant Neurologist at The Physicians’ Clinic, has been involved in the care of patients with the neurological complications since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This article is a comprehensive distillation of what we know about these neurological issues associated with Covid-19. In October 2023 , Dr Manji was invited to give a plenary lecture at the World Congress of Neurology in Montreal on the “Neurology of Pandemics” – this lecture included Covid-19, the influenza pandemic of 1918 as an examplar for covid 19, HIV/AIDS and Zika virus ,which although is not a problem at present in the UK, is still on the WHO list of potential pandemic viruses.
