What is cardiology?

Cardiology is the area of medicine dedicated to caring for the heart. Our cardiologists are here to investigate, diagnose and treat a wide range of heart conditions, while also helping you take steps to protect your long-term heart health. This includes:

  • Coronary artery disease, angina, heart attacks
  • Heart failure
  • Disorders of the heart muscle (cardiomyopathies)
  • Congenital heart defects, such as hole in the heart and heart murmurs
  • Problems with the heartbeat: tachycardia (fast heart rate), bradycardia (slow heart rate) and arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat)
  • Heart valve problems and abnormalities

Diagnostics

Cardiology diagnostic tests available

All our cardiology tests are carried out on-site, in order to ensure your care is both seamless and convenient. In many cases, you can see a cardiologist, have your diagnostic procedure the same day, and then return to your consultant to discuss the results and next steps. Our goal is to provide a smooth, supportive experience while giving you the answers and treatment plan you need.

See below for the full range of cardiac diagnostic services we offer.
